Web feature service with the data of breeding birds in Portugal. These data provide information about distribution at certain moment in breeding species in mainland Portugal. In the cases where it is possible also characterize the abundance of national populations of these species. In the present service, the data relates only marine and coastal birds.
This dataset was prepared for 3rd national report under Article 12 of the Birds Directive (2008-2012), corresponding to the distribution, through a grid 10 x 10 km, of the breeding birds listed in Annex I of the Birds Directive, in particular the marine species.
Web feature service with the boundaries of protected sites classified under decree-law No. 142/2008 of 24 July. The protected sites are all inland terrestrial areas, aquatic areas and marine areas where the presence of the biodiversity or other natural occurrences, that with their rarity, scientific, ecological, social or scenic value require specific measures for the conservation and management, in order to promote the rational use of natural resources and the enhancement of natural and cultural heritage, regulating human interventions. This service only includes marine, estuaries and coastal protected sites.
This service was prepared for 3rd national report under Article 17 section 1 of the Habitats Directive (2007-2012), corresponding to the range, through a grid 10 x 10 km, of the natural habitats of comunity interest listed in Annex I of the Habitats Directive, particularly the marine and coastal habitats.
This service was prepared under the Article 17 section 1 of the Habitats Directive (2007-2012), corresponding to the to the evaluation, through a grid 10 x 10 km, of the natural habitats of comunity interest listed in Annex I of the Habitats Directive, particularly the marine and coastal habitats.
Web feature service with the zonation of Berlengas biosphere reserve. This Biosphere Reserve includes the totality of the Berlengas archipelago, as well as the adjacent marine area to a maximum depth of 520m. The importance of Berlengas as an island ecosystem, the biological value of the surrounding marine area, the botanical interest, its role as a place of passage and habitat of migratory waterbirds and the presence of interesting underwater archaeological heritage give the Berlengas an obvious ecological and cultural interest. In this service are included 3 levels of zone protection: Core Zone; Buffer zone; Transition zone.
This service was prepared for 3rd national report under Article 17 of the Habitats Directive (2007-2012), corresponding to the evaluation, through a grid 10 x 10 km, of the species of Community interest listed in Annex II; IV and V of the Habitats Directive, in particular the marine and coastal species. The global evaluation is a conclusive parameter of the species conservation status in their biogeographical region, reflecting the results of the conclusions on the evaluation of the range, area, structure and specific function and future perspectives, in accordance with the requirements of the global evaluation matrix of conservation status.
Web feature service within the framework of the SNIMar project, which consists of the georeferencing of a set of sites on the Coast of Mainland Portugal where seabird and aquatic birds can be observed.
This web feature service refers to the wild bird species, identifying the species and their distribution, that causes specific attention under the PSRN2000. Noteworthy are (i) the globally threatened species; (Ii) threatened species at European level and whose distribution is confined to Europe; (Iii) those who, being threatened in Europe but having a wider distribution, have unfavorable laws in Portugal, and (iv) all species with threatened status in Portugal and which are included in Annex I of the Birds Directive. In this case it was considered only the aquatic and marine birds belonging to special protection areas (SPAs) marine, estuarine and coastal waters.
