  • A campanha sísmica ASTARTE 2014 tem como objetivo estender a área de levantamentos sísmicos anteriores até a uma distância de cerca de 20 milhas náuticas a partir da costa até a borda da plataforma continental. O planeamento da campanha contempla a aquisição de 24 perfis divididos em duas classes: uma classe em linha perpendicular à costa e uma classe em linha cruzada ortogonal às anteriores. A principal razão para selecionar a região ao largo da Quarteira é porque esta região é um alvo de registos de tsunamis na plataforma continental, embora toda a costa do Algarve possa ser um repositório de registros geológicos de tsunamis passados.

  • Within Portugal's National Biological Sampling Project (PNAB) a set of activities are conducted in the collection, management and use of biological data, collected from the registered commercial fleet in mainland Portugal (fisheries-dependent data) and several research surveys (independent fisheries data). These activities allow the assessment of the state of fishery resources, population structure, distribution and abundance of resources, diversity and dynamics of biological communities associated with the fishery resources and biological studies (growth, reproduction).This resource shows the geographic distribution of bogue abundancy index (nr. individuals/hour) registered during the PELAGO09 acoustic campaign in April 2009.

  • O associativismo é uma realidade importante, representando um instrumento fundamental de participação das populações e de intervenção na sociedade.Desde 1987, data de aprovação da Lei das associações de defesa do ambiente, que o ordenamento jurídico português prevê um enquadramento legal para a intervenção e o apoio às associações de ambiente.Com a Lei das ONGA, publicada em 1998, a introdução do conceito de organização não-governamental de ambiente (ONGA) no nosso ordenamento jurídico vem substituir o anterior conceito de associação de defesa do ambiente, dando resposta à evolução verificada no direito internacional e conferindo uma renovada eficácia à acção das associações.As organizações não-governamentais de ambiente desempenham um papel fundamental e relevante no domínio da promoção, proteção e valorização do ambiente, desenvolvendo uma ação de interesse público.

  • A Carta de Portugal na escala 1:1 2 500 000 representa o território de Portugal em toda a sua extensão. Os temas representados nesta carta são: as principais infra-estruturas viárias (ferroviárias e rodoviárias), a rede hidrográfica principal, a toponímia e o relevo. Das suas caraterísticas particulares destaca-se o relevo, representado por curvas de nível e isobatimétricas, enriquecido com sombreado e cores hipsométricas e batimétricas.

  • Cartografia topográfica em formato vectorial à escala de 1:250 000 para Portugal Continental e das Regiões Autónomas dos Açores e da Madeira. Contém os temas Rede Hidrográfica, Redes de Transporte e Toponímia em formato vetorial. Os principais objetos são a linha de costa, os cursos de água (naturais ou artificiais), as valas, as lagoas, as albufeiras e as principais barragens, a rede ferroviária, a rede viária, os aeroportos e os transportes marítimos e os topónimos das povoações, as designações locais e as áreas construídas.   • The Geological Map of Portugal at a scale of 1:1 000 000, published by LNEG in 2010, constitutes the synthesis document of the current knowledge about the geology of mainland Portugal and all insular territory: the Azores and Madeira Archipelagos. This map includes for the first time the geology of the continental shelf around mainland Portugal, drawing on over 30 years of marine geological research. The map comprises: a Geological Map of Mainland Portugal, a Geological Map of the Continental Shelf, and separate geological maps for the Azores and Madeira archipelagos (all at a scale of 1:1 000 000). Additionally, it includes a Neotectonic Scheme of Mainland Portugal with Hypsometry at a scale of 1:4 000 000, a Tectono-Stratigraphic Scheme at 1:5 000 000, and a Location Map at 1:20 000 000.
