  • Carta de Património é constituida pela caracterização do Património Construído, Arqueológico, Classificado e Ambiental. Esta carta visa salvaguardar e valorizar o Património do Município de Vale de Cambra

  • A Reserva da Biosfera Santana - Madeira é reconhecida pela UNESCO no âmbito do Programa Man and Biosphere. Esta reserva integra uma componente terrestre, correspondente a toda a superfície emersa do município e ainda uma componente marinha, contendo, no conjunto, uma grande diversidade de valores naturais e humanos, ambientais, culturais e paisagísticos, para os quais ocorre uma gestão visando a conservação da biodiversidade e do uso sustentável. A área da reserva é abrangida por um zonamento de áreas Núcleo, Tampão e Transição. A Zona Núcleo beneficia de proteção legal dada pela integração em áreas da Rede Natural 2000, quer terrestre, quer marinha. As zonas de transição e tampão são marcadas por coexistência dos valores naturais e ambientais com as atividades humanas de residentes e turistas.

O Parque Natural de Ilha do Corvo foi criado pelo Decreto Legislativo Regional n.º 44/2008/A, de 5 de novembro. e integra a Área Protegida para a Gestão de Habitats ou Espécies da Costa e Caldeirão do Corvo e a Área Protegida para a Gestão de Recursos da Costa do Corvo. Os dados geográficos foram obtidos com base nos elementos da Carta Militar de Portugal 1:25 000 (edição 2000, série M889) produzida pelo Instituto Geográfico do Exército.
