  • Departure places of vessels owned by companies authorized to carry out tourist operations for the observation of cetaceans in the waters of mainland Portugal, as stipulated in Decree-Law no. 9/2006 of 6 January.

  • This service was prepared for 3rd national report under Article 17 of the Habitats Directive (2007-2012), corresponding to the evaluation, through a grid 10 x 10 km, of the species of Community interest listed in Annex II; IV and V of the Habitats Directive, in particular the marine and coastal species. The global evaluation is a conclusive parameter of the species conservation status in their biogeographical region, reflecting the results of the conclusions on the evaluation of the range, area, structure and specific function and future perspectives, in accordance with the requirements of the global evaluation matrix of conservation status.

  • Web feature service with the information about the distribution and quantity of aquatic birds, including shorebirds, in order to meet the annual cycle of populations, fluctuations and trends of its population, as well as the importance of several wetlands for each species. This service relates to aquatic birds counts per section within Sado estuary, Tejo estuary and Ria Formosa.

  • This web feature service corresponds to the level 3 of the natural habitats of comunity interest listed in Annex I of the Habitats Directive. This service only concernes to the marine and coastal habitats.

  • Web feature service with the Important Bird Areas, or IBAs, that are areas designated according to objective criteria defined by BirdLife International. They are priority sites for conservation of endangered birds. They are assumed internationally and identified through the application of scientific criteria. They are also considered strategic points for bird watching. The IBAs considered in this service refer only to sites located in marine and coastal areas.

  • This geographic service presents the results of monthly counts of wildfowl, that includes all species of ducks, geese, and swans, grebes, coots and cormorants in Portugal Mainland from October 1992 to March 1993. The original dataset includes 59 wetlands, however in this dataset only were included coastal wetlands with brakish waters.

  • Web feature service within the framework of the SNIMar project, which consists of the georeferencing of a set of sites on the Coast of Mainland Portugal where seabird and aquatic birds can be observed.

  • Web feature service concerns to the points extracted from the "Ring Access" database wich contain a ring information management, control and recovery of rings. The data are in point format corresponding to the place where the the ringing or recapture of the ringed bird was performed. This feature service corresponde to the marine and coastal species.

  • Web feature service with the information about the distribution and quantity of aquatic birds, including shorebirds, in order to meet the annual cycle of populations, fluctuations and trends of its population, as well as the importance of several wetlands for each species. This service relates to aquatic birds counts for the coastal wetlands.

  • This service was prepared for 3rd national report under Article 12 of the Birds Directive (2008-2012), corresponding to the range, through a grid 10 x 10 km, of the breeding birds listed in Annex I of the Birds Directive, in particular the marine species.
